Smarter Budgets, Stronger Futures
Idaho doesn’t need more slogans about tax cuts, it needs a government that actually works for the people paying the taxes. I support keeping taxes low, but you can’t keep cutting your way into oblivion. While the establishment brags about surpluses, families are working harder for less. Our roads are crumbling, our schools are underfunded, and our seniors can’t afford care. Fiscal responsibility must be balanced with fiscal humanity. As Lieutenant Governor, I’ll fight for an Idaho that invests wisely, not just cuts blindly. A surplus means nothing if our people are falling behind.
Protecting Idaho's Healthcare
HB 328 puts Idaho families at risk. It adds work requirements that push people off coverage, shifts care to profit-driven companies, and gives state officials the power to cut benefits overnight. Seniors, caregivers, rural families, and low-income workers could lose care not because they don’t need it, but because politicians made it harder to get. This bill threatens rural hospitals, raises ER costs, and forces families into impossible choices. As Lieutenant Governor, I’ll protect Medicaid, keep our hospitals open, and ensure every Idahoan has access to the care they need to live with dignity.
Public Education Must Thrive
Idaho ranks near the bottom in per-student funding and teacher pay and families feel it every day. Overcrowded classrooms, underpaid teachers, and lost opportunities are holding our kids back. It’s time to fully fund our public schools, repeal the voucher scheme that drains local classrooms, and pay teachers what they’re worth. Education should be Idaho’s strongest economic engine, connecting learning to real jobs through career pathways, trade training, and innovation hubs that keep our kids here, building Idaho’s future.
Idaho Values That Unite - Not Divide
Idaho values go deeper than party labels, they’re about faith, family, freedom, and community. I was raised in the Mennonite church, my wife in the LDS faith, and we’re raising our sons with respect for life, liberty, and one another. I don’t weaponize values to divide neighbors. I believe Idaho values mean taking care of each other; our children, our elders, our veterans, and the land we share.
Water and Public Lands
Water is Idaho’s lifeblood, and our public lands are its soul. Managing both can’t stay trapped in backroom deals or partisan control. As Lieutenant Governor, I’ll fight for transparent, science-based water planning that protects farmers, families, and the ecosystems that sustain us. We must modernize our water infrastructure, embrace data-driven conservation, and prepare for the future, not just relive old fights. I’ll also stand up for public lands that remain in public hands, ensuring Idahoans can hunt, fish, farm, and explore the places that define who we are.
Protect and Serve — Together
Community safety is about trust, not talking points. I stand with law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders, ensuring they have the training, mental health support, and community partnerships to protect and serve effectively. Idaho doesn’t need partisan fear tactics; we need real partnerships that make every neighborhood safer.
Sustainable Growth
Growth should pay for itself but under this administration, families are paying the price. Housing is unattainable, infrastructure is lagging, and rural communities are being left behind. Idaho needs leadership that plans ahead, invests in roads and water systems, and makes growth sustainable for the next generation, not just profitable for developers and politicians who hold stake in the game today.
Immigration
We are a country of immigrants. We can protect our borders without losing our humanity. Immigrants help power Idaho’s farms, build our infrastructure, and strengthen our communities. I believe in enforcing the law while creating fair, efficient pathways to legal work and residency that strengthen Idaho’s economy and honor our values. Immigration policy should reflect both security and dignity because that’s what keeps Idaho strong, safe, and free.
Women’s Rights and Freedom to Choose
Idaho women deserve respect, dignity, and the freedom to make their own health care decisions without government interference. Today, women in our state are being forced to leave Idaho to access reproductive care and that’s not freedom, that’s control.
